About Me

My name is Elia Krisetya. I’m an Indonesian-American who was born in the interior mountains of Jamaica, and raised in the bustling cities of Jakarta and Manila. My tropical youth has given way to schooling in icy Minnesota. (I blame my parents for that.)

It’s true that my passport has a lot of stamps from interesting places. But one of my favorite places to be? At my design desk. Why? Because it’s one place where I can direct all my life experiences, to put creative ideas to paper, with cardboard models, and with precision angles on the screen. I love making processes and products work better for people. For example, I designed an Aeropress for elderly people with arthritis to better give them the freedom to have quality coffee. With my schooling and practice in the real world, I want to take an idea from concept all the way to impact (and all the messy-but-fun steps in between).

I've always had a passion for sustainability, tech, and cars to name a few. I'm excited to be able to influence the world in a better direction any way I can.
